Tim, one of Denmark's most successful FEI dressage ponies, has been sold to French pony rider Joy Albeck. The sale already occured in the summer of 2010 but the news became public only recently.
The Swedish bred chestnut gelding Tim (by Helekis Timjan x Amiral) gained international fame under Swedish pony rider Elin Aspnas. At the 2008 European Pony Championships they surprisingly won individual bronze but were stripped of the medal when medication was found in Tim's blood. A tumultous lawsuit followed and because Elin turned 17 the next year anyway, the pony was sold to Anne Fabricius Tange from Denmark.
Under Tange, Tim continued his success in the show ring and was a highly placed pony at international pony dressage competitions. In Denmark, the pair was virtually invincible and won the 2009 Ecco Cup Finals and Danish Championships. They finished fifth at the 2009 European Championships in Moorsele, Belgium.
In 2010 they won team gold and individual gold at the Nordic Baltic Championship and finished 9th in the Kur to Music Finals at the European Pony Championships. The pony sold after that event so Tange no longer competed at the 2010 Ecco Cup Finals and Danish Pony Championships.
2010 French Pony Champion Joy Albeck now has three ponies at her disposal: Tim, Wimbledon and Day of Whisper.
