Sanne Vos and the buckskin German Reitpony Champ of Class (by Champion de Luxe) won the third qualifier of the 2010-2011 Imperial Riding Cup show circuit for Dutch FEI ponies. Hosted at Stable Olympic in Uden, The Netherlands, the third leg featured 26 competitors but only one combination was able to score above 70%.
Sanne Vos and her second FEI pony Champ of Class were untouchable in Uden, placing first with all three judges on a total of 70.37%.
"I'm really happy with this victory," Vos commented after the prize giving ceremony. "I'm in the A-team with Just You 'n Me but last week I have also been training hard with Champ." Vos trainer Coby van Baalen was also over the moon about the combination's national debut. "Sanne and Champ of Class are an elegant combination," the trainer said. "This pony has three superb basic gaits and I'm very happy of their first test at this level. There is still potential for growth in the future."
Vos fended off Michelle de Jonge on her bay Hagelkruis Valentijn, who got an average of 67.13% from judges Van den Berg, Van Boxmeer, and Van
Nispen. Rachell Fokker and the 2010 gold medal winning Dutch team pony Majos Cannon (by Marchi) made their first national level show debut and slotted in third with 67.04%. They were followed by Sanne Gilbers on her second pony Geronimo B on 66.57.
