Dutch junior rider Antoinette te Riele and young rider Angela Krooswijk continued setting the pace in the 2010-2011 CHIO Cup show circuit for Dutch youth riders. At the fourth leg, hosted at stable De Kroo in Nieuw en St. Joosland, the two ladies each dominated their division with 70+ scores. Suprisingly the German bred horses in each division ranked at the top beating their Dutch bred, home-grown peers.
Former European pony champion Antoinette te Riele made a seamless transition to junior riders level, steering her Hanoverian mare Fleurie (by Florestan x Akzent II) to an impressive winning score of 71.53%. Te Riele's 2010 Dutch pony team mate Dana van Lierop is also working on her junior career. Aboard DJ Tiesto (by Rohdiamant), van Lierop finished second with 70.99%. Third pony team mate Suzanne van de Ven also ranked third aboard Donna Gracia (by Donnerschlag) with 67.30%.
"I'm very pleased about the nice silhouette and suppleness with which Fleurie moves," judge at C Mattie Boomaars commented.
At young riders level Angela Krooswijk repeated her winning ways, yet this time aboard her third horse Flash (by Fidermark).With 70.44 she referred herself to second place on her number one mount Roman Nature (by Rohdiamant) with 68.07. Melissa Tychon and her Trakehner branded Marinetty (by Solero TSF) finished third with 67.54%.
"Rommie was a bit stalliony," said Krooswijk after her ride. "The weather was lovely so I think spring was in the air for him."
