The definite entries for the 2011 World Cup Finals in Leipzig have been announced. Riders which qualified two horses had to make their final decision known and determine their ride in the Finals, which take place 27 April to 1 May 2011.
In the Dutch camp Edward Gal and his life partner Hans Peter Minderhoud both qualified two horses for the Finals. Title defender Gal opted for his number one Grand Prix horse, Sisther de Jeu (by Gribaldi x Amor). Hans Peter Minderhoud is taking his 2008 Olympic mount Nadine (by Partout x Roemer) to Leipzig.
For Germany Isabell Werth, Ulla Salzgeber and Helen Langehanenberg rode two horses in the picture. Werth will be saddling her Olympic silver medal winning Satchmo (by Sao Paulo x Legat). It is rumoured that the World Cup Finals could be Satchmo's final competition in his career though this is not yet officially confirmed by Werth. Young star Helen Langehanenberg qualified liver chestnut stallion Damon Hill (by Donnerhall x Rubinstein) and the Oldenburg mare Responsible OLD (by Rohdiamant) but will be taking the mare to the Finals as Helen recently had Michael Erdmann design a brand new freestyle for her. Ulla Salzgeber chose for Herzruf's Erbe (by Herzruf) instead of Wakana (by Wolkentanz II).
