Ulla Salzgeber has sold her second Grand Prix horse, the 11-year Thuringian branded Wakana (by Wolkentanz II x Wanderbusch II), to Colombian Constanza Jaramillo.
Dressage Direct reported that Ulla sold the mare to her student Jaramillo because "everything in my life evolves round 'Herzi'," referring to her number one Grand Prix horse Herzruf's Erbe (by Herzruf). "I can't leave Herzi alone at home for more than three days and there is no time left to take Wakana to shows. My entire focus is on Herzi."
Constanza Jaramillo has been training with Salzgeber at Gut Obere Muhle in Blonhofen, Germany, and will stay there for an extra few months. Jaramillo is focusing on qualifying for the 2011 Pan American Games which are held in Guadalajara, Mexico in the autumn.
"I can certainly imagine that both will also be able to qualify for the Olympic Games," Salzgeber added.
Salzgeber recently cancelled her ride on Wakana at the 2011 CDI Stadl Paura because she needed the time to prepare Herzruf's Erbe for the 2011 World Cup Finals in Leipzig.
With the sale of the super expressive mare Wakana, Salzgeber has only one Grand Prix horse left. Fortunately she has secured a ride for the future with a new star in the stable, the 4-year old Baden Wurttemberger gelding Seabisk (by Sir Alfred x Raphael Son).
