On 1 July 2011 Dr. Enno Hempel will be retiring as head of public relations at the German Hanoverian Society. He decided to focus fully on his job as head of the Pferdeland Niedersachsen GmbH.
Hempel will represent the interests of the shareholders, made up of the Hanoverian and the Oldenburg breed society, the equestrian sport associations Hanover and Weser-Ems, as well as the two Lower Saxonian pony breed societies. The aim of this important initiative is to launch projects that are of vital importance for the equestrian world in Germany.
Appropriate measures have been taken at the Hannoveraner Verband to ensure a harmonious transition to Dr. Hempel's retirement at the end of next year. With this change in staff, the tasks in the public relations and marketing department will be redistributed.
Hempel joined the Hannoveraner Verband after graduating from high school in the fall of 1966 to start work as an auction rider. He worked as an assistant to the former auction manager Hans Joachim Köhler and held many other positions, always successfully tackling new challenges. In 1988, a permanent position to establish the marketing and public relations department followed. Dr. Hempel will remain available to assist the Verband with single projects.
An official farewell ceremony will be held next year.
