2011 German Foal Selection Show Circuit Coming to A Close with Five Final Winners

With the 2011 German foal selection show circuit coming to a close on the weekend of 1 - 3 July 2011, the final qualificants for the 2011 German Foal Championships are known. Offspring by Stafford, San Amour Furstenball, Don Romantic and Fidertanz made it to the winner's circle at the qualifiers in Bärenbach and Bad Beversen.

At the foal selection show in Bärenbach, Germany, in the Rhinelander area on Friday 1 July 2011, Franz-Josef Jansen's Stafford x Contender colt was proclaimed winner in the colt category. He tied on first place with Friedrich Wetzel's San Amour x De Niro colt. The best filly was Gisela Strecker's Fürstenball filly out of Royal Day (by Royal Dance). A Bonifatius x Frisbee filly placed second. Only four foals in total qualified for Lienen at this foal show organized by Hunsrück-Rhein-Nahe-Mosel breeding society.

at the foal selection show held at Klosterhof Medingen in Bad Beversen, Germany on Saturday 2 July 2011. Sahlmann & Schmitz' Don Romantic colt out of Donna Rosa (by Dauphin) excelled in the colt division and placed first ahead of Hubertus von Tiedemann's Danone I x Sir Donnerhall offspring. The best filly was Verschoor's filly by Fidertanz out of Laurenzia (by Likoto xx). She beat a Furstenball x Can Can filly, bred by the Pietscher brothers.

With all German foal selection shows being held, Lone Boegh Henriksen and Paul Schockemohle's Oldenburg licensing champion Fürstenball (Furst Heinrich x Donnerhall) proved to be the best producer with the biggest amount of foals (14) qualified for the 2011 German Foal Championships. Four of them were champions at the qualifiers, five were reserve champions. The second best represented stallion is Sir Donnerhall I (by Sandro Hit x Donnerhall), followed by Fidertanz, Quaterback and Diamond Hit.
