La Lopez and Del Primo were the winners of the Bundeschampionate qualification classes held at the Rhinelander Regional Championships in Langenfeld, Germany, on 1 - 3 July 2011. With BuCha qualification season half-way many familiar faces are re-appearing on the entry lists in an attempt to get the necessary 8.0 or high score to go to Warendorf. Others who have already made it continue to gain show experience and exposure.
The 5-year old division was judged by Angelika Frömming, Carsten Munk and Klaus Ridder and the trio placed Christine Nolden on the Rhinelander mare La Lopez (by Lord Loxley x Boss) in first place with 8.1. The pair got 7.5 for walk, 8 for trot and submission and 8.5 for canter and general impression. P.S.I. team rider Eva Möller was the runner up with the black Oldenburg bred Sterndeuter (by Sir Donnerhall I x Werther's Wels). She totaled 7.8. Her stallion got 7 for walk and 8 for trot, canter, submission and general impression.
Thirty horses were originally entered to compete in this class but only 9 showed up for the event. Judges Rolf Beutler-Bath, Heinz Lemmermann and Reinhard Seim gave the highest score to Dorothee Schneider and Susanne Buroch's Oldenburg gelding Del Primo (by Don Primero x Figaro). The pair scored a total of 8.2. They got 7.5 for submission, 8 for trot and 8.5 for walk, canter and general impression. Johann Hinnemann's student Stefanie Wolf ranked second on the Rhinelander mare Arietta (by Abanos x Lancer II). They averaged 8.0 fir 7.5s for canter and submission, 8 for general impression and 8.5 for walk and trot.
