Former Dutch O-judge Jan Peeters has been invited to become a member of the Judging Supervisory Panel. Following a conversation with Peeters at the CDIO Aachen, the FEI Dressage Committee decided to appoint Peeters on the JSP.
The Weert based judge will be a witnessing the activities of the panel at the 2011 European Dressage Championships in Rotterdam.
"After a long career as international judge, during which I was a judge at two Olympic Games and as chef d'equipe of the Dutch youth riders, I think this is a good way to stay active in this discipline of the equestrian sport," Peeters told the Dutch Equestrian Federation.
Peeters will be an official JSP member as of the 2012 World Cup Finals which are to be held in 's Hertogenbosch, The Netherlands. According to FEI Dressage Director Trond Asmyr it is possible that Peeters will serve on the panel at the 2012 Olympic Games.
The Judging Supervisory Panel supports the judges at the international championships by supervising their scores and correcting accidental mistakes. The current JSP members are trainer David Hunt and judges Eric Lette and Uwe Mechlem.
