The Baden-Württemberg State Stud of Marbach provided the picturesque surroundings for the 2011 Dressage Festival CDN. In the huge stadium, in which soon the popular stallion parades are going to take place, eight S-level dressage classes were held including a short Grand Prix and Grand Prix.
The Grand Prix level classes were won by Uta Gräf with her Holsteiner stallion Le Noir. It was an easy game for her as she stayed well ahead of former Olympic team gold medalist Martin Schaudt with his new hopeful Despino (by De Niro). Gräf fended off Schaudt in the short Grand Prix and Stephan Köberle on another bay De Niro-offspring, Darjeeling in the Grand Prix on Sunday.
In the Intermediaire I Falk Stankus and Birkhof's stallion Meraldik (by Munchhausen x Heraldik xx) managed to stay ahead of his business partner Nicole Casper on Birkhof's Dave FBW, a horse already qualified for the Burgpokal Final this year. Martin Schaudt won the Prix St. Georges and Prix St. Georges Special with Fürstenberg.
Casper celebrated a double victory with her second and third stallion Don Diamond FBW (by Diamond Hit) and Denario.
