The Bad Zwischenahn based Gestut Nymphenburg has qualified a record number of six horses for the 2011 Bundeschampionate, the highly prestigious German Young Horse Championships held annually in Warendorf, Germany, the first week of September.
Four 5-year olds, one 6-year old and one 3-year old will represent Gestut Nymphenburg in Warendorf. "That's pretty much all the horses of that age we have in our barn; which for us is a record achievement," said stable owner Helmut von Fircks, who discovered and bought many of these youngsters at the elite auctions in Germany.
Von Firkcs' daughter Johanna, as well as assistant trainer Tessa Frank and Fritz Fleischmann, will be presenting the horses in Warendorf. "Horses are a hobby to us, to which we commit with passion. I'm incredibly proud that we'll be taking six of them to Warendorf," said von Fircks.
The qualified horses are Dream of Nymphenburg (by Dark Fire x Disco - Prince), Royal Nymphenburg (by Rubin Royal x Donnerhall), Simply Nymphenburg (by Sir Donnerhall I x Weltmeyer I), Stern von Nymphenburg, Chicco von Nymphenburg (by Carry Gold x Cordial Medoc) and Lorenzio von Nymphenburg (by Londontime x Argentan).
