The chestnut colt Bailando LIN became the top selling foal at the 2011 Swiss warmblood elite foal auction, held annually in Brunegg, Switzerland. This Belissimo M x Furst Heinrich x Padarco van het Hertsveld colt achieved a knock down price of 14,000 Swiss francs (12,600 euro).
Auctioneer Uwe Heckmann struck his hammer four times above 10,000 CHF and three times for dressage bred foals. The top selling foal Bailando LIN is bred by Peter and Ursula Linder from Bütingen, Switzerland. This couple also had last year's most expensive foal, Flying Dance LIN.
The second best selling foal was the filly Dollar Baby (by Dancier x Don Crusador). She was sol for 12,000 CHF.
The show jumper Quantum of Solace, a Quite Easy x Aqua Mine?rale KZI colt, switched owners for 11,000 CHF. Dressage lovers paid 10,000 CHF for Vivo Cortes, a Vitalis x Rubin Cortes offspring.
Thirty-four foals were sold in total, three initially listed foals were not offered and two were bought back by the owner. The average price was 7,403 CHF
