Carolyn de Roo of President Stables has offered her 4-year old Oldenburg stallion Jack Sparrow (by Johnson x Wolkentanz II x Don Primero) to Edward Gal to ride. Gal has accepted and the beautiful black stallion is already based at his stables in Harskamp, The Netherlands.
Jack Sparrow is bred by Hugo Schmidgall from Wüstenrot, Germany, and was owned by the breeder in partnership with Wolfgang Tschöpe before De Roo acquired him. The stallion was licensed at the South German under-saddle licensing on 6 October 2010, where only two out of a collection of 19 were approved.
"I'm very happy that a horse like Jack Sparrow came my way," Gal said. "He's the horse the way I like them: drop dead gorgeous, tall, strong, intelligent, very willing to work and a super mover. I'm looking forward to a future with this fantastic horse."
Gal will be presenting the 1.73 m standing Jack Sparrow at the pre-selection for the 2011 KWPN Stallion Licensing.
Gal's collection of rising FEI stars includes Harli Seifert's Rubin Cortes (by Rubin Royal x Calmiro), Ambria (by OO Seven x Osmium), Lissaro van de Helle (by Lissabon x Matcho AA) and Aster de Jeu (by Contango x Jazz).
