Hans Peter Minderhoud has another super star young stallion to ride: Westfalian reserve licensing champion Vitalis. The chestnut Vivaldi x D-Day offspring has moved from Warendorf to Harskamp where his dressage career will be continued.
The Dutch bred Vitalis was born at Mr De Crom's stable in Weert, The Netherlands, and is owned by Eugene Reesink and Willeke Bos. Under the name of Capriool, this colt sold in 2007 as a foal for 16,000 euro at the SELL foal auction.
At the 2009 Westfalian Stallion Licensing, Vitalis finished second in the premium ring and became reserve champion. He was leased to the Westfalian State Stud in Warendorf, where he stood at stud for two years.
Vitalis appeared in the big stallion parade at the Westfalen State Stud in Warendorf, which was attended by 24,000 visitors. Afterwards the stallion was shipped to Harskamp straight away.
Minderhoud also competes Vitalis' sire Vivaldi (by Krack C x Jazz x Ulft).
As a breeding stallion Vitalis will continue to be offered at stud via the Landgestut Warendorf through the 2012 breeding season.
