The action returned to the SEK equestrian centre in Villafranca del Castillo near Madrid, Spain, for the third and final week in a row for the 2011 Spanish Youth Riders Championships. Maria Calvache Sanchez and Laura Beatriz Reija Belart became the glorious champions earning gold in the junior and young riders division.
In the junior riders' division Maria Calvache Sanchez and the Baden Wurttemberger branded Amazing Grace (by Amelio) were untouchable scoring winnings marks in the team test (68.433%), individual (67.684%) and kur (71.850%). Their average score of 69.322% pipped the average of their rival of the season, Andreu Busutil Canovas on his Oldenburg gelding Don Luka (by Don Larino). With 67.730%, 66.053% and 70.400% he ended up with silver on an average of 68.061%.
