German dressage judge Peter Holler has been given the 5-star status, also known as O-judge status, which makes him eligible to judge at the Olympic Games. Holler received the news of his updated status on Monday.
Holler is very grateful for his promotion. "Of course it feels very good and is really something very special for me," Peter told Eurodressage. "I think it shows that the people appreciate the expertise and the engagement. It is a great challenge, but as dressage is really my passion it is a really great thing."
The Koblenz based Holler runs an editorial office which focuses on business journalism and public relations. He is also a devoted dressage rider, having competed up to Grand Prix level. He trained with Dr. Klimke, Harry Boldt, Manfred Bröker, Gerhard Politz, Werner Bergmann, Udo Lange.
At the moment Holler is a much sought-after trainer and clinician as well as a busy judge. He has coached Susanne Lebek as German team rider at the 2009 European Championships and taught clinics all over the world. Holler judged at the World Young Horse Championships in Verden, European Junior and Young Riders Championships, Asian Games, German Championships, CDIO Aachen, the World Cup and FEI Challenge Tour.
