Following a Board of Directors tele-conference call, the American Hanoverian Society (AHS) is standing firmly by the 70-day stallion test results. On December 12, 2011, the AHS received correspondence from ISR/Oldenburg Registry N.A. questioning the validity of the scoring
at the 2011 70-Day Stallion Performance test which concluded November 10 at Silver Creek Farm, Broken Arrow, Okla.
ISR stated that their registry does not agree with the final calculation of the 70-day test scores and that they would use a different computing method to produce their own results. Their reasoning, as stated in an additional letter dated December 15, is that the method currently used that is approved by the FN and the German Verbands has, in their opinion, “weaknesses.”
The ISR, as a privately-owned all American registry, may do as they see fit; however the official results will stand as originally computed by the Chamber of Agriculture Hannover and accepted by the FN, the AHS, the Hanoverian Verband, and the various other German Verbands. The Silver Creek team, the AHS and the Hanoverian Verband have gone to great lengths to ensure the integrity of this testing and the FN-approved protocol was completely followed giving this test the utmost credibility and strength.
The AHS applauds the owners of the stallions who placed their trust in this test and congratulates the three stallion owners whose participating stallions are now fully AHS/HV licensed and approved. The AHS, whose breeding program has full reciprocity with the Hanoverian Verband, Silver Creek Farm, and all other involved registries besides the ISR stand by the FN approved method and do not want the validity of this test to be in question or diminished in any way.
Any recalculation of the official scores by ISR will not be accepted by either the AHS or Hanoverian Verband.
