A select group of Danish pony, junior, young riders and Under 25 riders will be participating in a special youth riders seminar sponsored by Hanni Toosbuy Kasprzak of ECCO shoes in Tønder, Denmark, on 7 - 8 January 2012.
Participants will get a tour of the brand new, innovative Ecco Stables in Haderslev, Denmark, followed by a special panel discussion on "Prepare for Competitions: What Do I Need?"
Thirty-nine of the 2011 Ecco Cup show circuit riders have been invited to participate in this seminar. The first starts with a tour at the Ecco stables, where Under 25 rider Anna Kasprzak will give a clinic with several of her horses. She will talk about her daily training, her competition plan, and the different exercises she does.
Danish junior/young rider team trainer Jon Pedersen and Danish pony team trainer Vibeke Degn Andersen will also give tips and advice on how to better train one's horses. Degn Andersen will talk about the new pony tests which will be ridden as of 2012. The first day will conclude with a session with equine physiotherapist and osteopath Gitte Andersen Søby. She will explain the importance of physiotherapy for horses.
On Sunday the participants will get instructed on their own physical training in the gym hall. Afterwards they will be split into groups and will be asked to work on the theme "Prepare for Competitions: What Do I Need?". This group session is followed by a panel discussion which includes Danish Grand Prix rider and former young rider Lisbet Seierskilde, Under 25 rider Anna Kasprzak, team trainer Jon pedersen, Grand Prix chef d'equipe Kimi NIelsen and Ecco cup sponsor Hanni Toosbuy Kasprzak.
