Swiss FEI dressage pony rider Anastasia Huet has got the ride on the 2011 European Pony Kur Champion Equestricons Day of Diva for the 2012 and 2013 show season. Owner Joachim Arl has leased the palomino mare to the Swiss Huet family for two years.
Joachim's daughter Lavinia Arl has had an incredible start of the season aboard Equestricons Epiascer (by Ten Ankers Jerolianca). The new combination finished third three times at the CDI Drachten begin January with top scores. Coached by her new trainer Carmen de Bondt, the 14-year old Arl wants to focus on Epiascer this year instead of Day of Diva.
The Arl family therefore decided to make this world class pony available to Switzerland. Heidi Bemelmans, Swiss National Pony Team trainer and a friend of the family, has dedicated much time and energy into unifying the dressage pony sport in Switzerland with the result that the country was able to field its first pony dressage team at the 2011 European Pony Championships.
The Geneva based Anastasia Huet was member of the 2011 European Championship Swiss pony team with Bovey Good Life (by Going East), which they also acquired from Arl a few years ago. With Equestricons Day of Diva Anastasia aims to connect with the European pony top.
"We have confidence that Anastasia will ride our pony with much feeling and dedication and are sure they will become a lovely combination," Arl told Eurodressage.
The gorgeous 9-year old Equestricons Day of Diva (by Don't Worry x Capri Moon) has a star studded career. Day of Diva competed at the 2006 Bundeschampionate in the 3-year old riding pony division and sold in 2007 at the CHIO Sales to Carol Cohen in the U.S.A. where she stayed for three years. In 2010 Day of Diva returned to Europe in ownership of Arl. The mare won Kur to music gold at the 2011 European Pony Championships.
