Italian FEI Dressage pony rider Alice Campanella will be campaigning her new dressage pony Flamenco Star in pursuit of a team place for the 2012 European Pony Championships held in Fontainebleau, France, in July 2012.
The Campanella family acquired the 14-year old German Riding Pony stallion Flamenco Star (by Flying Dream x Danny Black) for their 12-year old daughter, who started on ponies with Asterix and Forest Gump.
A daughter of Italian Grand Prix rider Anna Paprocka-Campanella, Alice placed second at 2011 Italian Pony Championships for Under 11 children pony riders aboard Asterix. With Forest Gump she achieved many national victories and placements.
Flamenco Star is a very experienced FEI Dressage pony, having competed at the 2006 and 2010 European Pony Championships and having won European team gold for Germany under Annabel Frenzen in 2006.
"We had great opportunity to buy an experienced pony with Flamenco Star," Anna Paprocka-Campanella told Eurodressage. "Alice can start her international career with this wonderful schoolmaster."
Alice is coached by her mom Anna and will also get training from Polish Grand Prix rider Michal Rapcewicz in The Netherlands. The combination's first international show will be the CDI Vidauban at the end of February 2012.
