A black Swarovski x Furst Heinrich colt was named champion of the South German Stallion Licensing held in Munich on 26 - 28 January 2012. Eleven stallions in total were selected for the premium ring of which seven were dressage bred.
The Bavarian branded dressage licensing champion stallion is bred by Maria Posch and presented at the licensing by stallion station Limbecker. The long legged black colt stood out with his good walk and dynamic trot. He sold at auction for 75,000 euro to Gestut Sprehe.
The reserve licensing champion became the highest priced horse at auction. This black Diamond Hit x Cordeur son, bred by Hubert Vogler, attracted much more interest from buyers. Hof Kasselmann, who acquired the strong moving colt at the pre-selection, sold the horse via the auction to Sissy Max-Theurer for 192,000 euro.
The second highest priced premium stallion was the Swarovski x Pik Labionics, presented by Heinrich Ramsbrock. He sold for 145,000 euro.
The premium stallion by Don Diamond x Piaster sold for 32,500 euro, while the premium colt by Sir Gregort x Sir Oldenburg switched owners for 30,000 euro.
The other premium stallions were by Hochadel x Londonderry and by Lord Sunshine x Fredericus An.
Fourteen colts in total sold abroad. The average price for a stallion at this auction was 43,362 euro. The average price for a licensed stallion was 59,481 €.
