Luxembourg Grand Prix rider Gaston Chelius has been submitted to the 2012 Elite Team of the Luxembourg Olympic and Sportive Committee (COSL). Chelius was the only new person submitted to the team which includes 28 of Luxembourg's best high performance athletes.
As a member of the Luxembourg Elite Team, Chelius will get financial support to cover his expenses for training his horses, competition fees, and physiotherapy.
The 34-year old Chelius shows Claude Niedner's 15-year old Westfalian registered Flamenco R (by Florestan x Romanow). The duo competed as individuals for Luxembourg at the 2010 World Equestrian Games in Kentucky and the 2011 European Dressage Championships in
Rotterdam, The Netherlands.
Chelius is classically schooled and regularly trains with Klaus Balkenhol and Hubertus Schmidt.
