Trakehner stallion Buddenbrock has been sold to Joe Pimental of Aqua Farms in Panama City, Florida. The black elite sire has arrived in the United States and is currently in quarantine.
Pimentel acquired the stallion from Hubertus Poll of Gestüt Hörem in Germany. Buddenbrock was raised, trained and stood his entire breeding career at the Gestüt Hörem.
Buddenbrock is by elite sire Sixtus out of the Elite mare Ballerina XXV (by Diamant). He was named 2010 Trakehner Stallion of the Year. Under German Andreas Dibowski, Buddenbrock qualified for the 1999 Bundeschampionate Finals in eventing.
From his first crop of foals came Elite Stallion Connery and the 2000 Trakehner licensing Champion King Arthur TSF, who competes at the international Grand Prix level under Petra Wilm, the president of the German Trakehner society. In 2003 he also sired the Trakehner licensing champion In Flagranti.
The now 18-year old Buddenbrock is the sire of 10 Trakehner licensed sons and has a large number of offspring competing at international level in both eventing and dressage.
He is expected to be available to breeders in 2012 later this spring.
