Irish Grand Prix dressage rider Judy Reynolds is leaving Johann Hinnemann's stable in Voerde, Germany, to relocate to France. Reynolds will be joing Irish show jumper Jessica Kürten at her new yard in Ferrieres-en-Brie, Paris, France.
A native of Kilteel, County Kildare, Judy has been based with Hinnemann for many years and was a recipient of the Irish Field Dressage Rider of the Year award in 2008.
Kürten announced the news of her partnership with Reynolds in France in her bi-weekly column in the Irish Horse World on Saturday 25 February 2012. Jessica wrote that she is "looking forward to welcoming two newcomers to France in the very close future. Judy Reynolds (top Irish dressage rider) is going to work for Edouard (de Rothschild) and myself in a joint venture. We wanted to have a very good dressage rider working with us and persuaded Judy to join our team and work some of the horses."
Reynolds will make the move to France in March. She is currently competing Remember and Vancouver K at the 2012 CDI Vidauban in the South of France.
"Jessica trained with Johann Hinnemann and Chesney Farm was only ten minutes down the road," Reynolds explained. "I started riding her horses on the flat last September. When she decided to move to France she asked me if I would join her team. Once I finish up in Vidauban next week I have to head home to Ireland for a family christening. Then it is back to Germany and I have one week to move to France. I’m looking forward to the move but the next few weeks are going to be very busy!"
