The Hunxer Dressage Days held anually at German judge Peter Engel's equestrian centre Gutshof Gluckauf in Hunxe are a well attended national dressage show held this year on 30 March - 1 April 2012. With classes for starting at A-level going all the way up to Grand Prix, the dressage event featured a star-studded field of international dressage riders.
Several German Grand Prix riders took the opportunity to compete their rising FEI horses at small or big tour level. Isabell Werth's assistant trainer Matthias Bouten rode Madeleine Winter-Schulze's Hanoveroan gelding Laurenti to victory in the Prix St Georges, scoring 68.860 %. Isabell Werth herself introduced Der Stern (by Dormello) to the Grand Prix ring and finished fifth with 65.745 %.
Ingrid Klimke and her new ride Liostro reigned supreme in the Grand Prix class for 8 to 12 year old horses. With 71.560 % Klimke kept Anabel Balkenhol on her new rising star Winci (by Weinberg) at bay with 70.567 %.
