The 5-year old His Melodie S and the 6-year old First Lady won the Bundeschampionate qualification classes held at the regional competition in Walldorf, Germany, on 1 - 3 June 2012. Thirteen combinations appeared in the show ring to contest an L- or M-level test in an attempt to obtain a score of 8.0 or higher to qualify for Warendorf.
The 5-year old division was won by Christiane Schneider aboard the Hanoverian bred His Melodie S (by His Highness). The pair scored 7.50 and edged out Nicola Haug on the Bavarian bred Samoa (by Sir Alfred) with 7.4. Haug tied on second place with Julia Mestern aboard the Hanoverian Si Senjor (by Sir Donnerhall I).
In the 6-year old M-level class Pieter van der Raadt topped the leader board with the Wurttemberger branded First Lady (by Florencio) on a strong 8.1 score. Julia Beckfeld and the Hanoverian San Gennaro (by
