The FEI has allocated the 2015 European Championships for dressage, show jumping, vaulting, carriage driving and reining at the world famous CHIO Aachen show organization. The 2015 European Eventing Championships will go to Great Britain.
Aachen was already the host of the 1983 European Dressage Championships as well as the 2006 World Equestrian Games. Just like nine years ago at the WEG, dressage will take place in the main show jumping stadium, which has a capacity of 40,000 spectators.
"We all remember the great moments at the 2006 World Equestrian Games," said Aachen show director and FEI Dressage Committee chair Frank Kempermann. "We want togive the horses and athletes top conditions so that we can look forward to the best sport."
