In a short message sent out via their mailing list, the German Equestrian Federation announced that Dorothee Schneider has been added to the German Olympic A-Team.
The Framersheim based Schneider rode herself into the focal point of the selectors at the 2012 German Dressage Championships in Balve, Germany, where she finished fifth in the Special and fourth in the Kur. Schneider's mount is her student Stella Charlott Roth's 10-year old Hanoverian mare Diva Royal (by Don Frederico x Warkant).
The 43-year old Schneider is taking the spot of Ulla Salzgeber and Herzruf's Erbe who have been removed from the A-team because they withdrew from Olympic contention.
The German Olympic A-team includes seven riders: Anabel Balkenhol, Helen Langehanenberg- Damon Hill NRW and Responsible OLD
Matthias Alexander Rath, Kristina Sprehe, Monica Theodorescu, Isabell Werth, and Dorothee Schneider.
