French Grand Prix rider Jessica Michel has been officially selected for the 2012 Olympic Games in London, Great Britain, on 2 - 9 August 2012. The French Equestrian Federation announced their Olympic nominations today at an 11 'o clock press conference in Paris.
The Petit-Mars based Jessica Michel unlocked the individual slot for France by being the highest ranked French dressage rider on the FEI Olympic Riders' Ranking by 1 March 2012.
She continued to show form on her top horse Riwera de Hus, an Oldenburg mare by Welt Hit II x Noble Roi xx, throughout the 2012 spring show season. Michel is trained by German Hans Heinrich Meyer zu Strohen.
The nominated reserve riders are Arnaud Serre and the PRE bred Helio II as first reserve and Pierre Subileau on the Dutch bred Talitie (by Gribaldi) as second reserve.
