German pony rider Luca Michels has made an early transition to junior riders' level and has acquired the experienced Oldenburg mare Dreamy as competition horse and equine partner in his junior endeavours.

Michels has been a consistent competitor on the German and international pony scene aboard the grey German Riding Pony Dein Freund. While Michels still has one pony year left to go, the tall-growing rider has decided to switch to horses.

The Michels family acquired 12-year old Hanoverian mare Dreamy (by Donnerhall x Weltmeyer x Bumerang) from Louisa Luttgen. Bred in Switzerland by Danish Dorthe M. Jeppesen, Dreamy is a state premium mare which was successfully presented at the 2003 Oldenburg Elite Mare show in Rastede.

The Luttgen family bought the liver chestnut mare at the 2004 Oldenburg Auction in Vechta. Louisa and Dreamy won the 2008 Preis der Besten in Warendorf, Team gold and individual test silver at the 2008 European Junior Riders Championships in Azeitoa, Portugal and bronze at the 2008 German Junior Riders Championships.

Dreamy was competed economically after 2008. She did a few shows in 2009 and 2010 and then after a long absence from the show ring Dreamy returned under Louisa at Young Riders level at the 2012 CDI-PJYR Stadl Paura in April 2012.

Michels made his show debut on Dreamy at the regional show in Lennetal and won the M-level test with an 8.0 score.
