Don Henry, Top Seller at 2012 Hanoverian November Auction

The 4-year old chestnut gelding Don Henry became the top selling horse of the 2012 Hanoverian November Auction held in Verden, Germany, on 10 November 2012.

Verden's new auctioneers Daniel Delius and Bernd Hickert knocked down the hammer on 50,000 euro and sold the Don Henrico x Fisherman's Friend offspring to Switzerland. The gelding will remain in Germany in training with Anna Sophie Fiebelkorn.

The Perigueux x Escudo offspring Prinz Paul became the top selling jumper. He sold for 32,000 euro to local clients.

The state premium candidate Wincentina (by Weltmeyer x Brentano II) was offered for sale as "recreation horse" and sold for 17,000 euro.

The second most expensive dressage horse was the 3-year old gelding Schubert (by Sandro Hit x De Niro) which sold for 35,500 euro to Finland. The 4-year old mare Fine Spirit (by Fidertanz x De Niro) moves to Schleswig-Holstein for 25,000 euro.

A large number of Hanoverians sold to France at this auction. Liaison Ariene Pourtavaf enabled the sale of 12 horses to France. Finland acquired 6 and Denmark 3. The average price for a Hanoverian at this auction was 12,853 euro.
