The 3-year old Westfalian bred Delicious Dancer became the price highlight of the 2012 Brightwells "Stars of the Future" auction held at Addington Equestrian Centre on 1 December 2012.
The chestnut gelding by Dresemann x Sandro Hit x Dialekt sold for £70,000 to Russia.
The second most expensive horse was the 2-year old filly Florentina (by Vivaldi x Rubels x Larduc). This grey KWPN bred mare sold for £33,000 to British Olympic champion Charlette Dujardin, who discovered her first Grand Prix horse Fernandez at the Brightwells auction years ago.
The third most expensive horse was the 3-year old Oldenburg bred gelding Snow Patrol (by Serano Gold x Quattro B x Pablo), which switched owners for £19,500. This liver chestnut colt was offered for sale as an eventer.
The Brightwells auction includes a mixture of young prospects for show jumping and dressage. Twenty-nine dressage horses were offered for sale, nine were withdrawn from the collection and eight horses were not sold because they didn't reach a high enough amount.
