Belgian O-judge Mariette Withages and the Duke of Newcastle Riding Club will be hosting a brand new CDI competition in Belgium at the Jumping Kapellen show venue on 8 - 11 August 2012.
Until now the CDI Mechelen in December and CDIO-PJYR Moorsele in May are the only two international dressage competitions being staged in Belgium each year. In the past Belgium used to host international shows in Schoten, Brussels and Hansbeke both those competitions all disappeared from the calendar.
The 2013 CDI Kapellen will be a major dressage competition with young horses classes, youth riders and U25 classes, as well as a small and big tour. This 3* CDI will take place on the show ground where one week earlier the CSI Kapellen take place.
"It will be a very busy four-day event, not only because we'll run a CDI, but we'll also put pony's, juniors, young riders and U25 classes on the programme," Withages told Eurodressage. "A dressage arena will be placed in the show jumping ring."
The 2013 CDI Kapellen will take place the same weekend as the 2013 World Young Horse Championships in Verden.
