Each year a select group of Danish youth team riders and hopefuls are invited to participate in an educational seminar held at the ECCO equestrian centre in Tønder, Denmark. This year 25 pony, junior, young riders and U25 riders have been invited to the annual seminar on 12-13 January 2013.
On Saturday the riders will get an opportunity at being a dressage judge themselves with the help of Danish I-judge Susanne Baarup. Danish Olympic team rider Anna Kasprzak will give a clinic on her horses and will tell about her road to the Olympics. 2012 European Young Riders Champion Cathrine Dufour will also speak on her experiences last summer.
Sunday will start with sessions on physical training and mental coaching. In the afternoon the secretary general of the Danish equestrian federation, Jens-Erik Majlund, and senior dressage team captain Kimi Nielsen will talk about the role of the team trainers.
