The Nursery project, a spin off of the highly successful Swedish dressage promotion project Knytkalaset, has announced the Swedish based junior and young riders which have been selected to participate in its clinics and training sessions for 2013.
In 2009 the privately funded Swedish training project "Knytkalaset" (Est. in 1998) branched off into a "Nursery" project, which stimulates Swedish young riders to climb to the top by receiving professional help from renowned trainers.
The Knytkalaset was established by Åke Björsell (project manager), Jan Brink and Kyra Kyrklund with as main idea to increase the competence of riders, trainers and horses on a national level. Moreover they wanted to increase the number of dressage horses on Grand Prix level. Fourteen years later Knytkalaset has become a wildly successful private project.
The Nursery Project aims to spot, help and develop talented riders at an early age. In Sweden there are at the moment two Nursery schools, one in the very south of Sweden, in Tullstorp/Skåne and one in the northern region close to Stockholm.
