The Danish Equestrian Federation has appointed Jette Nevermann Torup as new Danish Pony Team Trainer. Nevermann Torup is succeeding Vibeke Degn Andersen who resigned at the end of 2012 after 10 years on post.
Jette has been an equestrian professional her entire life working as a rider, trainer and official. Her daughter Carina was once a successful Danish FEI pony rider herself. She has competed up to Intermediaire I level and trained horses to Grand Prix. She has been a judge for 25 years and is closely involved in the pony sport.
"I'm happy to continue Vibeke's fantastic work for pony dressage," Nevermann Torup commented. "I look forward to build on this work and help in the development of talented riders. At the same time I'm happy to establish a good co-operation with all the young riders, their trainers and parents so we can achieve the maximum out of each combination.
