Southern Cross stud is holding a special winter sale between January and March 2013 to reduce its stock. Southern Cross Stud specialises in producing and selling world class dresage horses. Owned by Jules and Jill Walker and set in the beautiful North Downs in Kent, Southern Cross Stud has over 70 horses. These include this year's foals, young stock, state premium brood mares and horses competing at advanced levels across Europe.

Southern Cross Stud combines the finest bloodlines and super training to produce future dressage champions.

Conformation, Movement and Temperament

Southern Cross Stud strongly believes in the importance of proven dam lines as well as those of its chosen sires. Working closely with their German partners, the Stud focuses on producing horses with conformation, movement and temperaments suited to the demands of dressage training right through to Grand Prix.

Southern Cross Stud also believes that whilst fine bloodlines and correct training can lead to success, true champions are born of a partnership with the most appropriate rider and will try to ensure horse and rider are entirely suited to each other.

Through their partnership with international Grand Prix riders Wolfram and Brigitte Wittig in Germany and Anna Ross Davies in the UK Southern Cross Stud has been enjoying significant succes.

Dreamgirl
8-year old liver chestnut mare, 16.1 hh

Dreamgirl is a beautiful 8-year old Oldenburg mare by former World Young Horse Champion Dimaggio. She was originally bought as a broodmare but timing of her purchase suggested that starting under saddle could be an option. From day one it seemed that we had people singing her praises and she never quite made it back to broodmare territory.

She has been professionally trained by Anna Ross Davies for the past three years and would make an outstanding Juniors or YR horse.

Bobbi Dazzler
7-year old chestnut mare, 16.3 h

Bobbi Dazzler is a sensation Hanoverian mare. Her movement is exceptional and she has been tupped by Grand Prix rider and trainer Wolfram Wittig as one to watch for the future.

Bobbi competed successfully in the prestigiou Shearwater series for young dressage horses and is training at medium level.

Berringar
4-year old dark bay gelding, to make 16.2-17.0 hh

Berringar SC is an expressive Oldenburg gelding. With his four white socks and elastic paces, Berringar is something of a head turner. He was accepted for the Oldenburg stallion licensing and was oneof only a handful selected from hundreds of colts put forward.

Berringar's sire Breitling has been in the top 3 of the German breeding index consistently for the last few years. He is know for producing quality and trainable offspring.

We have owned Berringar since he was a foal so his full history is known.

Kambara

Kambara is a captivating 2009 born colt with a charming temperament. With his white blaze and four perfect white socks he is sure to attract attention wherever he goes. He was awarded a first premium by the Oldenburg verband as a foal and we are sure he is destined for great things.

Kambara has had basic backing and we are particularly excited about his flashy paces coupled with his exceptional temperament.

Working preliminary/novice, excellent temperament

Bewitching is a beautiful Hanoverian mare by premium Oldenburg stallion Benvenuto (by Breitling x Weltmeyer). She has a wonderful temperament and is a very straight forward ride. She is good to hack and is showing much promise in her training.

We have owned Bewitching since she was a foal so her full history is known. She can be seen with international Grand Prix rider Anna Ross Davies.
