Petra Wilm, president of the German Trakehner Society and owner of stallion station Tasdorf, acquired the Hanoverian mare First Class in November 2012. The chestnut was the reserve champion at the 2012 Nurnberger Burgpokal Finals in Frankfurt in December.
First Class is bred by Martin and Jessica Otten-Willers and is by Fürst Heinrich x Rubinstein. The 9-year old mare was competed in the Nurnberger Burgpokal qualifiers and finals by Juliane Brunkhorst. The duo scored a whopping 75.171% to finish second.
Wilm acquired the horse for her daughter Caroline to ride already before the Finals in Frankfurt. Carolin is a German Young Rider and has already made her show debut on First Class. At the 2013 CDI-W Neumunster last weekend, Wilm rode the mare to a third place in the national Prix St Georges test with a 67.211% score.
Caroline Wilm has been taking a more prominent place in the saddle as her mom has been successfully fighting cancer the past two years. At the Munster Stallion Show two weekends ago Caroline presented her mother's licensed Trakehner stallion Elfado. Last year she mainly competed Almoretto at small tour level.
