Australian O-judge Mary Seefried has been appointed member of the FEI Judging Supervisory Panel. She is the first non-European judge to take a seat on the panel since the establishment of the JSP in 2011.
Seefried will be replacing former Dutch O-judge Jan Peeters and will be serving on the panel together with judges Dieter Schüle (GER) and Eric Lette (SWE) and trainer David Hunt (GBR).
The Judging Supervisory Panel monitors score sheets to prevent human errors and the panel is mandatory at the major championships such as the Olympics, World Equestrian Games and World Cup Finals.
The length of term of the JSP members has recently been changed to a maximum of four terms of two years each, not necessarily consecutive.
In February Mary Seefried was appointed chair of the Australian Dressage Committee. Mary has been a national dressage judge for 30 years and has served as an FEI5* dressage judge for 15 years.
