Equestrian Australia (EA) announced that Dr. Warwick Vale was elected Chairman of the EA Board on 8 April 2013 after former Chairman Paul Biancardi stepped down from his role at today's Board meeting.
Paul will remain a Director on the Board, with Warwick the new Chairman and Nick Crowe elected as the Deputy Chairman. The Board also accepted the resignation of Liza Carver who stepped down as a Director.
Warwick, who has been a member of the EA Board for almost six years, said the changes today have not changed the direction of the Board.
“The EA Board is committed to following through the priorities outlined in October last year with our key focuses on high performance, ICT and financial operations for EA.
“We have spoken with the State Branches to inform them of these changes and have recommitted our dedication to our priorities with the sport and working collaboratively with our members.
“There are exciting initiatives that we have been working on and some of those major initiatives will be rolled out in the coming months.
“I would like to thank Paul for his time as Chairman and I am pleased he will continue to lend his expertise as a Director on the Board,” said Dr. Vale. “The Board also thanks Ms Carver for her contribution and efforts as a Director”.
Equestrian Australia is seeking a candidate for the vacant position of Board Director and will look to fill this role in the coming month.
