While Eurodressage's editor in chief Astrid Appels focused on photographing the competition, German in-house photographer Barbara Schnell focused on her favourite part of the show: the warm up ring. Check out the great training photos Barbara took of international dressage riders which brought their top horses as well as rising stars to Hof Kasselmann.
While Laura Tomlinson-Bechtolsheimer returned to the ring with her number one, Mistral Hojris, she also brought along her two biggest upcoming stars, the home bred Polar Bear (by Polarion) and the Holsteiner Unique (by Carpaccio x Lord). Dorothee Schneider competed Forward Looking but was also seen schooling St. Emilion and Showtime and her student Stella Charlott Roth trained Rubin Action in Hagen.
The weather was dry but extremely cold for the time of the year so everyone bundled up and dreamt of sunshine...
