Zuchterforum reported that the 17-year old Hanoverian stallion Riccione (by Regazzoni x Aragon) will return home to his owners, the Grunder family in Schlossmatt, Switzerland, after a three year lease to the Nordrhine Westfalian state stud in Warendorf. The bay stallion is byred by Heinrich Ehlers and was licensed in 1998. He has 22 licensed offspring and 70 of his daughters are state premium mares.
Andreas Helgstrand has bought a half share in the Dutch bred but Oldenburg and Westfalian licensed stallion Didando (by Tuschinski x Jetset). The bay stallion was initially owned by Leo and Matthijs Brouwer and competed by Vai Bruntink. At the 2013 Pavo Cup Finals, Didando was already competed by Helgstrand's assistant trainer Daniel Bachmann Andersen.
Horses.nl published that Dutch Grand Prix rider Karen Nijvelt had to euthanize her small tour horse Wallstreet (by Contango x Ulft) mid August. At the beginning of July the horse became ill, with a fever and loss of appetite, but up until the day of his passing the veterinarians still haven't found the cause. At the end, the horse became so weak and lame that Nijvelt decided to put him out of his misery.
Hermann Gossmeier's student Yvonne Fiestelmann has received the ride on the licensed stallions Belissimo M and Furst Grandios. Afte Australian Olympic Hayley Beresford brought especially Belissimo M to greatness in the international Grand Prix ring, financial troubles at the stallion station was the cause for the split between the rider and the stallions. The 28-year old Fiestelmann will now train and potentially compete the 14-year old Belissimo M (by Beltain x Romadour II).
Hubertus Schmidt's assistent trainer of seven years, Marcus Hermes, has left Fleyenhof in Paderborn and started a new job as rider at Rudolf Zeilinger's yard in Emsburen, Germany. Hermes received the golden rider's badge and competed Flynn PCH at the Bundeschampionat for 5 and 6-year olds.
Angela Krooswijk's 17-year old junior rider's horse Revino (by Rohdiamant x Contendro) has become a schoolmaster for 13-year old Nina van Eden. The Oldenburg bred gelding competed with Krooswijk on the Dutch team at the 2010 European Junior Riders Championships in Kronberg. The horse did his last international show in April 2011 at the CDI Stadl Paura.
Hoefslag reported that Spanish Olympian Beatriz Ferrer-Salat has acquired a new youngster in The Netherlands. Ferrer-Salat bought the 3-year old Dutch bred mare First Lady (by San Remo x Tolando) straight after the first try out. The mare was originally owned and trained by Joyce Brand.
