The Dutch warmblood gelding and Olympic and European champion Valegro is leading the 2013 WBFSH Dressage Ranking, of which the latest edition was published on 11 September 2013.
The World Dressage Rankings are based on percentages scored in international competitions under FEI rules. Horses can get bonus points for competing at the Olympics, major championships, and CDIO 5*'s but only three results per event will count. The scores obtained in a maximum of 8 tests per year will count. The points for the ranking are obtained by adding the 8 best scores of the
last 12 months.
The 11-year old KWPN bred Valegro (by Negro x Gerschwin) is leading the ranking with 2915 points, followed by the Westfalian licensed stallion Damon Hill (by Donnerhall x Rubinstein) with 2848 points. The 16-year old Dutch warmblood Parzival (by Jazz x Ulft) is third with 2818 points.
The Dutch warmblood studbook is currently leading the WBFSH Breed Ranking with 14,792 points, followed by the Hanoverian society (13,323 pts) and the Westfalian studbook (11,947 pts).
