The Australian equestrian federation (EA) announced that incumbent EA Board members Wendy Hunt and Melissa Cannon have been voted back on to the Board for a further three year term as a result of the recent Board elections.
The States Branches (EA’s shareholders) voted for the EA Board to remain unchanged, demonstrating the confidence in the current national Board and their direction.
EA Chairman Dr Warwick Vale said he is pleased to have consistency in the Board and welcomed Wendy and Melissa for the additional term.
“I am pleased to have Wendy and Mel remain on the EA Board – it demonstrates that State Branches have confidence in what the board collectively is working towards. We have a good balance and variety of expertise on the national Board and everyone contributes in their own way to the outcomes we have already achieved. The Board has a clear action plan in place and we pursue this agenda relentless with the aim of bettering equestrian sport for everyone in Australia. Once again I congratulate Wendy and Mel on their reappointment and look forward to continuing to work towards the Board’s goals,” he said.
The EA Annual General Meeting for its Shareholders (the State Branches) will be held on 26 October at which time the EA annual report will be presented.
