Catherine Haddad-Staller has sold her upcoming Grand Prix horse Patronus to Olivia Hallman, who already acquired her number one Grand Prix horse Winyamaro last September.
One month later Hallman also added the 10-year old Danish warmblood gelding Patronus (by Heslegards Platin x Heslegards Louis) to her collection of horses. The bay Patronus was originally named Heslegards Paganini and competed in Denmark by Lykke Reichert.
Haddad-Staller will continue her show career aboard the Grand Prix horse Hotmail, an 11-year old Oldenburg gelding by Michellino x Havel. At the same time she is bringing along the 7-year old Danish bred Montrachet (by Michellino x Don Schufro), which she discovered in Denmark last August at the yard of Danish European Championship team rider Lone Bang Larsen.
"I will start (him at) Prix St. Georges this winter even though he is still quite green at that level. He is learning very quickly. He is, however, the best horse I have ever owned," Haddad-Staller told Eurodressage. "I feel extremely lucky to have him and Hotmail both on my roster now. I have never had better horses to ride."
