Laura Tomlinson-Bechtolsheimer and her husband Mark are expecting their first baby in July 2014. The couple announced the news of the pregnancy today.
"It’s very exciting and myself and Mark are both thrilled. The plan at the moment is to stay training and competing for as long as I feel comfortable," Laura told British Dressage.
Laura also commented on her pregnancy: "Terrifying but true, T and B genes have been mixed and I'm sure what ever comes out will be harder to train than any horse!"
Laura and Mark Tomlinson got married on 2 March 2013 in attendance of the creme de la creme of British society, including The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge -- Prince William and Kate Middleton.
In November, Laura reported that she was back in the saddle after joining her polo playing husband in Argentina for almost a month. At the time she had to prepare her top mount Mistral Hojris for his retirement ceremony at the 2013 CDI-W London in December. "First two days training with Klaus again since having been away. Horses are getting in shape again, closely followed by the rider," she joked back in November.
Laura is currently focusing on Unique (by Carpaccio x Lord), and home bred mounts Polar Bear (by Polarion x Landadel) and Pamina (by Polarion x Landadel) for Grand Prix level.
