Gestut Peterhof has acquired full ownership of the 5-year old Danish warmblood licensed stallion Sezuan (by Zack x Don Schufro). The black stallion who is one of the top breeding sires in Denmark, was co-owned by Andreas Helgstrand and Gestut Peterhof.
Sezuan was the crowd favourite at the 2012 Danish warmblood stallion licensing but did not receive premium status because of his OCD condition. He also became the subject of a DNS mix-up case as the stallion was declared as a Romanov offspring, but DNA testing proved he was sired by Zack.
The black stallion became the Danish warmblood stallion performance test winner with the highest notes for his basic gaits. He also won the 2013 Danish young horse championships for 4-year olds under Helgstrand.
Sezuan will be trained by Dorothee Schneider.
