The 20th Manfred Swarovski Memorial Tournament starts on Friday – the CDI4* at Schindlhof in Fritzens (Tyrol) offers in the year of the World Equestrian Games high-caliber professional sports with quintuple Olympic gold medalist Isabell Werth (GER), World Championship bronze medalist and World Cup winner 2009 Steffen Peters (USA), and Austria’s number one Victoria Max-Theurer.
"From a sporting perspective this season could not be any more exciting due to the World Equestrian Games that take place in late August in Normandy in France,” tournament director Klaus Haim says. Many international top stars use the CDI4* in Fritzens, where a great number of well-known athletes participate, to prepare for the event. Austria’s top athlete and number one, Victoria Max-Theurer, who has already won the overall ranking at Schindlhof twice, represents her native country. Evelyn Haim-Swarovski, who is based at Schindlhof, presents her wonderful mare Dorina. After great results in this season so far, it is legitimate for her to keep up hopes to be allow to participate in the World Equestrian Games. In addition to Austria, also Australia, the U.S., France and Poland use the tournament for the qualifying for the World Championships in Caen and Deauville.
The international top stars in the arena of Fritzens: five-time Olympic gold medalist and most successful dressage rider in the world, Isabell Werth (GER); Steffen Peters (USA), World Championship bronze medalist and World Cup winner 2009; Dorothee Schneider (GER), Team silver medalist at the Olympic Games in London.

All entrance fees and donations will be passed on to the organizations offering therapeutic riding and vaulting for people with disabilities. For a rental fee of € 5,00 you get headphones to listen to a live commentary of an expert and to get good insight into what is happening in the arena.
