Charlott Maria Schurmann and Team Germany won the Under 25 Division at the 2014 CDIO Aachen. The prestigious Aachen show has been hosting Under 25 classes since 2010 and they have become an item on the bucket list of each U25 rider in the world. Schurmann won the Kur to Music but her victory was not a given after placing fifth in the first round.
The Kur to Music on Saturday 19 July 2014 was the highlight class for the young Grand Prix riders. Schurmann and her liver chestnut stallion Burlington (by Breitling x Rohdiamant) won the freestyle with 77.225% and the 2013 German U25 champion Nadine Husenbeth and Florida (by Florestan) were the runners-up with 75.775%. Swedish Marina Mattsson and her former young riders horse Beckham (by Bernstein) have both moved up to GP level and finished third in Aachen with a 71.925% earning kur.
