The 2-year old Hanoverian filly Danseuse MF was named Grand Champion of the 2014 Devon Breed Show held at the Devon show grounds in Devon, PA, U.S.A. on Thursday 24 September 2014.
The Grand Championship included four horses: the winners of the Mares and Stallion Championship as well as the two winners of the Filly and Colt/Gelding Championship. The judges assessed all four winners to name the overall champion of this year's Devon Breed Show.
Bred and owned by Maryanna Haymon, the 2-year old black filly Danseuse MF claimed the highly coveted Grand Champion's title. She is by Don Principe out of the Elite Mare Furst Dancer MF (by Furst Heinrich). King Santacruz presented Danseuse MF in hand.
The reserve Grand champion was the 9-year old Dutch warmblood Andorra ISF, bred and owned by Mary Alice Malone of Iron Spring Farm in Coatesville, PA. The bay mare is by Sir Sinclair out of Hivano (by Consul).
The other two Grand Championship participants were the 14-year old Hanoverian stallion Faramund (by Fidertanz x Donnerschlag) and the 2-year old Hanoverian gelding Sao Tomae MF (by Sir Donnerhall I x De Niro).
